Directions
From Sacramento, Auburn, and Grass Valley:
· Take I-80 east to Auburn.
- Take Hwy 49 to Grass Valley. Continue for 25 miles.
- Take exit 182A - (Hwy 174 to Colfax, Downtown Grass Valley).
- Turn Left onto S. Auburn St.
- At first stoplight, bear Right on S. Auburn Street.
- At third stoplight, turn Left onto West Main St. and continue for 2.7 miles, exiting town.
- At the first stop sign, turn Right onto Bitney Springs Rd, and continue for 1.5 miles.
- Turn Right onto Newtown Rd and go for 0.7 miles.
- Turn Left onto Jones Bar Rd. and go for 0.7 miles.
- Turn Right onto Woolman Lane (there is a sign at the corner of Woolman and Newtown identifying "Sierra Friends Center) and continue SLOWLY (10 mph please) for 0.8 miles.
- Woolman Lane dead-ends at the Sierra Friends Center. Turn Right at the "T" and go down a short hill to the parking area adjacent to the tennis courts. The Grass Valley Friends Meeting House is the library, to the left of the parking area. Disabled parking is in the grassy area directly in front of the Meeting House.
From Reno and Nevada City:
- Take I-80 west and exit on Highway 20, continuing for 20 miles.
- Just before entering Nevada City, turn Right onto Hwy 49 north to Downieville, and go for 2.3 miles.
- Turn Left onto Newtown Rd., immediately after The Willo Restaurant and across from the Rainbow Market, and follow the very windy Newtown Rd for 3 miles.
- Turn Right on Jones Bar Rd. and go for 0.7 miles.
- Turn Right onto Woolman Lane (there is a sign at the corner of Woolman and Newtown identifying "Sierra Friends Center) and continue SLOWLY (10 mph please) for 0.8 miles.
